Mawu
A private cycle tracker for iOS

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 7, 2026

Mawu is built around one principle: your health data belongs to you. This policy explains what that means in practice. It is intentionally short because the app intentionally does very little.

What data Mawu collects

None. Mawu does not collect any personal data, health data, usage data, or device identifiers. The app makes no network requests. There are no servers we operate, no cloud backups we control, and no analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind.

What data Mawu stores on your device

Anything you log in the app — period start and end dates, flow intensity, symptoms, mood, energy, and notes — is saved locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). This data:

Third-party services

Mawu does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or other SDKs that collect data. The only frameworks the app uses are first-party Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, Swift Charts, UserNotifications).

Data export and deletion

You can export all of your data at any time as a JSON or CSV file from the app’s Settings screen. You can permanently delete all of your data using “Reset all data” in Settings, or by deleting the app from your device.

Children’s privacy

Mawu does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected, no special provisions for children’s data are required.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Because the app collects no data, material changes are unlikely.
